E-TEN X500 Arabic Language Extender (LEng) is designed for support (E-TEN X500
Arabic localization) the following devices:
- Windows Mobile 2003
- Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
- Windows Mobile 5.0
- Windows Mobile 6 Classic and Professional
Language Extender package includes drivers of Arabic E-TEN X500 on-screen keyboard and Arabic regional settings. As optional feature, it provides translation of E-TEN X500 interface to Arabic language.
E-TEN X500 Arabic Language Extender (LEng) is available in two versions: "Full" and "Lite".
"Full" version of localization provides translation of E-TEN X500 interface to Arabic (icons, menus and dialogs of E-TEN X500 interface and built-in applications will be translated)*. “Full” version of Arabic language support is available only for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices.
"Lite" version includes on-screen keyboard layout for Arabic letters input, Arabic regional settings, word autocomplete function, etc. Lite version of Arabic language support does not translate E-TEN X500 interface (menus and dialogs remain in English).
With E-TEN X500 Arabic support you can input information in Arabic language in any application on your device, edit it, save, transfer to other E-TEN X500’s or desktop computers and print documents including texts in Arabic language.
E-TEN X500 Arabic Support features:
- Translation of E-TEN X500 interface to Arabic: all icons, menus, dialogs of E-TEN X500 interface and built-in applications will be translated. (available only in “Full” version of Arabic LEng)*;
- Correct text management for Arabic language: right text alignment, proper character order and appropriate text selection for Arabic documents and E-TEN X500 applications;
- On-screen keyboard layout for Arabic letters input. You can use different Arabic layouts;
- Word autocomplete function concludes words you are typing on the on-screen keyboard or E-TEN X500 external keyboard

- NEW! Hi-resolution and landscape modes support;
- Availability to adjust appearance of the on-screen keyboard layouts (3D-look, color keys, font of keys);
- Special module for external E-TEN X500 keyboard that allows using portable keyboards to type in Arabic with different Arabic layouts;
- Arabic regional settings with Arabic format of date and time;
- Correct synchronization operations of E-TEN X500 applications and desktop applications (for example, MS Office applications);
- Modified Character Recognizer (Letter Recognizer) to write Arabic symbols (by default you can write only English symbols on Pocket PC), availability to adjust it in your own way;
- Correct print operation for documents in Arabic.
